This class is suitable for doctors, nurses, caregivers and other professionals working in the health-care industry. The course covers adult, infant and child CPR (one and two rescuer), use of a bag mask, foreign-body airway obstruction for conscious and unconscious victims and automated external defibrillation.
This course is 3 hours in length. Each participant who completes the class must pass a skills check off as well as a 25 question written exam. Upon successful completion, a Healthcare Provider Card will be issued.

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. This course is suitable for daycare providers (this course meets NC state requirements for daycare providers), business office workers, restaurant employees, stay-at-home mom groups and anyone who wishes to learn life-saving CPR.

This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Upon completion of the online course, students receive a course completion certificate that can be presented to their employer. There are no skills test or skills demonstration at the end of this course; however, the AHA provides an optional written exam if the employer requires an exam for completion.
